We are extremely
pleased with the exceptional restoration of our 1965
VBC Super. Like many others, we were initially
cautious about purchasing a bike from Vietnam.
However, after reading numerous positive reviews and
thoroughly reviewing the information provided by
Marella Scooters, we felt confident in moving
forward. We are truly impressed with the
craftsmanship and attention to detail that Mason and
his team dedicated to this Vespa. The outstanding
communication throughout the process further
solidified our trust in their services. We look
forward to working with Marella Scooters again on
future purchases. |

During my search
for a restored Vespa, I came across Marella Scooters
and immediately knew it was the right place. From
helping me choose the perfect color and options to
keeping me updated throughout the restoration
process, Mason and his team were incredibly
attentive. They provided detailed information on
shipment, customs brokers, and even followed up once
I picked up my Vespa from U.S. Customs.
When I uncrated
my Vespa, I was truly impressed by the meticulous
craftsmanship and attention to detail in the
restoration. Whenever I have maintenance questions,
I can always count on a prompt and helpful response
the next day.
One of the
coolest touches is the vintage Vietnam license plate
they included. It’s a great way to showcase that my
Vespa is a 1963 model, and it’s always a fun
conversation starter.
Thank you,
Marella Scooters, for such an outstanding
experience! |

Our experience
purchasing our first scooter from Marella Scooters
has been exceptional. The website is user-friendly,
with an impressive selection that made placing our
order an exciting process. The entire order and
processing experience was seamless, and Mason kept
us well-informed throughout.
When our crate
arrived last week, we were absolutely thrilled with
the scooter. While it looked fantastic online, in
person, it exceeded our expectations. Following the
startup instructions and video Mason provided, the
scooter started on the first try-smooth and
effortless. We’re already looking forward to
enjoying some great rides this summer.
I have a
feeling this won’t be our last scooter purchase. I
shared photos online, and the response from our
friends was overwhelmingly positive. If you’re in
the market for a scooter, Marella Scooters is the
only place you need to go. Outstanding customer
service and an exceptional quality product! |

I live in a
coastal area of North Carolina and have a long
history of riding and restoring motorcycles. In
retirement, I found that the weight and physical
demands of riding were becoming less appealing, so I
began searching for an alternative. That’s when I
discovered Marella Scooters. Mason and his team
source and restore classic 60s Vespas at a level of
quality and value that I couldn’t achieve on my own,
all while preserving the rich history of these
iconic bikes.
During my
research, I came across some skepticism regarding
imports, but it was clear that those concerns were
not applicable in this case. Mason’s expertise in
bringing these scooters back to life is truly
impressive. After my second purchase-a custom order
recently completed and shipped with the help of JF
Moran import brokers. I couldn’t be happier with the
results.
Marella
Scooters goes beyond simple restoration; they
enhance these vintage machines by addressing common
issues of that era. Updates like modern charging
systems and electronic ignitions are added,
increasing the bike’s overall value and reliability
without compromising its classic appeal.
The best
review I can give is the envious looks from my
friends when they ask, "Where did you get that Vespa?"
I simply reply, “Marella Scooters!” |

chrome details. Thank you, Mason, for your

I purchased my
1962 Vespa from Marella Scooters last year, and the
entire process was seamless. Mason and his team
provide comprehensive purchase and transport
information on their website, and everything went
exactly as outlined. The restoration work on the
Vespa was outstanding, and the bike is truly a
beauty. They deliver exactly what they promise.
One note of
caution for California residents: the California DMV
has become very strict about registering imported
Vespas. They requested the original title transfer
document from Vietnam, which proved difficult to
obtain. Unfortunately, I wasn’t informed by the DMV
that a Surety Bond from an insurance company could
resolve the registration issue. I only discovered
this solution through advice from another California
resident who faced the same challenge with
registering their Marella Scooters Vespa. Obtaining
a Surety Bond is a simple process, but it was the
only viable solution I found.
For those in
California, I recommend proactively securing the
Surety Bond early in the registration process so you
can spend more time enjoying your restored Vespa.
Thank you
again, Mason and the team, for delivering such a
fantastic product and providing me with countless
enjoyable rides on my restored Vespa! |

I ordered a
stunning Tiffany Blue 1964 Vespa VBB with a sidecar
from Mason this past fall, and the entire purchasing
and shipping process was seamless. The quality and
performance of the scooter are simply outstanding,
it's absolutely beautiful! As someone who had never
ordered from overseas before, I was initially
skeptical. However, Mason and one of his trusted
partners reassured me that I would receive a
high-quality scooter, and I couldn't be happier with
the result.
Mason is a true
professional who stands behind his products. He made
the entire buying experience effortless. Throughout
the rebuild process, I received regular updates,
including photos of the scooter being tested, along
with helpful operating instructions, valuable
information for a first-time Vespa owner like me.
When I
accidentally damaged the sidecar light on my first
ride, Mason was quick to respond and sent a
replacement light fixture right away. I just needed
to have the sidecar repainted locally, and Mason
even included extra paint for touch-ups, along with
the scooter's accessories.
Mason and his
team truly go above and beyond. Thank you, Mason,
for the incredible restoration. I absolutely love my
scooter! |

I chose the 1966
VBC with a sidecar, and selecting the color was the
hardest part, silver/blue, cream, or cherry red. As
you can see in the pictures, cherry red was the
final choice, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it.
Mason and his team made the entire process both
enjoyable and exciting.
Mason was
particularly helpful, providing me with the contact
for the person who coordinated the delivery of the
900 lb crate from San Francisco to my home in San
Jose, California. The paperwork he sent ensured a
smooth registration process with the California DMV,
with no issues at all.
At 81 years
old, I’m a very happy owner and would be happy to
share the details of the buying, shipping, and
ownership experience. I was also pleasantly
surprised by the power of the scooter, even with the
sidecar. It’s incredibly satisfying! |

Mason and his

more incredible scooters, bringing our total to
five. This latest batch includes a 1956 Lambretta
LD150, a 1955 Vespa VL2T, and a 1963 Vespa VBB
restored as an MP6 replica. Each scooter is
beautifully restored and mechanically flawless,
starting up and running perfectly. My only challenge
now is deciding which one to ride!
Mason and his
team are truly the best at what they do, offering
not only exceptional quality but also fair pricing.
Mason is an excellent communicator, keeping me
involved and informed throughout the entire process.
The packing and transport were flawless as well.
Marella Scooters stands out as one of the finest

WOW! Simply
amazing.
A heartfelt thank
you to Mason and his team at Marella Scooters for
the exceptional care and professionalism they
demonstrated throughout our recent purchase of a
beautifully restored 1963 Vespa GS 160. From the
moment I spoke with Mason on the phone, I felt
confident that we were in expert hands. Upon
delivery, we were left speechless by the incredible
attention to detail that goes into each of these
meticulous restorations.
The scooter
exceeded our expectations, particularly with
thoughtful touches like the stylish rubber floor
mat, dust/rain cover, spare parts kit, and retro
owner's manual. These small details really made the
experience feel special.
We are truly
honored to be the next custodians of this
55-year-old classic, which we’ve named ‘Giulia.’ The
photos simply don’t do it justice- the love and
passion that go into restoring these artisan-made
Vespas is evident. In my opinion, they look even
better than when they first rolled off the
production line decades ago.
Currently, we
are living and working in HCMC, Vietnam, but we plan
to return to New Zealand once our work here is
completed. One of the first things we’ll carefully
pack and ship will be our new addition to the
family. Mason has kindly offered to assist us with
this process whenever we're ready to make the move.
Our sincere
gratitude for such a wonderful experience. Thank you
again, Mason and the team! |

I
made the decision to purchase both a
1966 SX200 and a 1968 VLB with
sidecar from Marella Scooters, and I
couldn’t be more impressed. Upon
uncrating the bikes, I was blown

quality of the packing was

why they’ve never had a damage
claim. The bikes were securely
packed and expertly fastened to the
crates, demonstrating a level of
professionalism that’s second to

I
decided to start with the SX200, and
it fired right up on the second

performance was flawless: smooth

overall fantastic experience.
If you’re considering investing in a

My TV200 scooter
arrived in late December 2016, and while I haven't
had much opportunity to ride it extensively, I've
already clocked up 350 km. I must say, I am very
pleased with its performance. The ride is smooth,
and it feels much more stable than my previous P200.
I can't fault
Mason and his team for their communication and
helpfulness, nothing was too much trouble. The
scooter has received attention everywhere I've gone,
with everyone commenting on how fantastic it looks.
Registering
the scooter was a straightforward process, provided
you ensure all the required documentation is
submitted.
The scooter
arrived securely packaged in sturdy wooden crates,
well-bolted down. Included were spares in the
toolbox, a cover, bulbs, spark plug, spark plug
socket, cables, the manual, and a complete set of
documentation.
Overall, I am
very impressed with the build quality and finish.
Mason and his team deliver exactly what they

I recently
purchased a Lambretta TV175 from Marella Scooters,
and the entire process was smooth and hassle-free.
There were no issues with the import, and Mason was
incredibly helpful, promptly addressing any
questions I had. The pickup in the UK went
perfectly, and the shipping agents were equally
responsive to any inquiries. The scooter has since
passed its MOT, and I am now awaiting the new
registration documents. Overall, I am a very
satisfied customer. |

It's been nearly
two years since I purchased my 1968 VLB Sprint from
Mason at Marella Scooters, and I couldn't be more
pleased with the experience. I was fortunate enough
to visit Mason in Vietnam during a planned holiday
to see the completed scooter before it was shipped.
Now, with 3,500 km on the clock, the Sprint has run
flawlessly. I took the time to adjust the carburetor
for my local conditions, and with the right spark
plugs for summer and winter, it has given me no
issues. I even use the Vespa for moto pacing with my
son's cycling team, and it always turns heads when I
pass by with the team in tow at 50 km/h. Mason has
been an excellent support resource, and it was great
to meet him in person. I look forward to many more
fun rides ahead! |

I just received my
Vespa 90SS and I am very happy about Mason’s
service in An Giang. The quality of restoration is extraordinary.
I have been to Viet Nam in Nov 2010 and visited Mason’s
Shop twice. After seeing the Vespas and after talking
to Mason I was convinced that Mason is committed to
deliver a great service and great Quality. My Vespa
was shipped to Hamburg and I was lucky that customs
accepted a customs number for vintage vehicles of cultural
value which saved a lot of money. |

It’s been a year
since I purchased my 1968 Vespa 150 Sprint from
Marella Scooters, and I still get the same
excitement every time I ride it, just like the
moment I first unboxed it. For me, motorcycles are
all about emotion, and Marella has been incredibly
supportive in answering all my questions, especially
as a novice. I’ve always felt that Vespas carry a
unique "Mod" DNA, and riding mine certainly gives me
that same urge to embrace the style, Fred Perry
shirts and plaid included! I ride my Vespa twice a
week, and it never fails to turn heads, from people
of all ages, simply because it's something truly
special. I’m grateful to be a part of this great
community. |

I frequently
travel to Vietnam for work and have always enjoyed
seeing and riding scooters here. Having owned a
Rally 200 in the '60s in Australia, I knew I had to
relive those days. After extensive research and
visits to several Vespa restoration businesses, I
chose Marella Scooters.
The guidance I
received from Mason and the ease of importing the
scooter to Australia (despite the extra shipping
costs to Tasmania) made the entire process smooth.
When the bike arrived, it was exactly as I had
envisioned through email correspondence with Mason.
The local roadworthy inspection station was
initially skeptical about a scooter imported from
Vietnam, but after a thorough examination, they were
impressed with the quality of the restoration and
remarked, "What a great job!" It passed without any
issues.
There was a
minor problem with a carburetor jet, but Mason
quickly resolved it, sending a replacement within a
week. After 650 km on the clock, the bike continues
to improve with every ride, and I'm looking forward
to reaching the 1000 km mark. Every time I take it
out, people stop to admire it and take photos. I
couldn't be happier with my experience! |

I have had the
pleasure of working with Mason for the past four
years and have purchased around eight scooters from
him. While I am not a dealer, I am a retired
"ex-Mod" from the '60s and have helped a few friends
who weren’t familiar with the process of ordering
scooters. Every time a new scooter arrives, the
uncrating experience is exciting and the
craftsmanship is exceptional, and each scooter is a
head-turner. I couldn't be more satisfied with the
quality and service Mason provides. |

with the finish and quality of both. Mason is always
willing to help – and he does respond to emails very
quickly (important in my view). Many thanks |

I recently picked
up my Faro Basso after its four-week journey across
the Pacific, and it far exceeded my expectations.
While it looked incredible in the photos, it was
even more impressive in person. The scooter started
right up and runs flawlessly. The restoration is
truly exceptional, with the same level of care
applied to packing and shipping. If you're hesitant
about purchasing from overseas, I can confidently
say that Mason and the team at Marella Scooters are
the real deal. They provide all the necessary
documentation to ensure a smooth registration and
title process in the U.S.- my DMV experience was
perfect. I will definitely be returning for another
scooter for my wife in the future. Thank you, Mason
and team! |

Over the years,
my friends and I have purchased four Vespa and
Lambretta scooters from Mason, and we’ve
consistently recommended Marella Scooters to
everyone we know - even those who aren’t
particularly interested in bikes! The quality and
service are unmatched. |
